Blue and red and infrared and have been used in medicine for decades and therefore these therapies have received FDA approval or clearance. This is increasingly important as red and blue light both claim benefits that can technically be described as medical benefits - such as treating inflammation, muscle pain and healing.
Other light therapies such as green, red, purple, cyan and yellow, while many studies have shown their effectiveness in treating the skin concerns they claim to treat, they have not been used in medical therapies to the same extent as red, blue and infrared and therefore have not been the subject of FDA-clearance or approval procedures to date. In fact, any LED device with treatment colors outside red and blue will not be FDA-cleared. However, all our products have passed the EU CE tests and acquired the CE Certificate so are independently approved for safety.
